Từ gió xuân đi gió hạ về,

Anh thường gởi gắm mối tình quê

Bên em, mỗi lúc trên đường cái,

Hóng mát cho lòng được thỏa thuê.

Em có ngờ đâu trong những đêm

Trăng ngà giải bóng, mặt hồ êm,

Anh đi thơ thẩn như ngây dại,

Hứng lấy hương nồng trong áo em...

Bên khóm thùy dương em thướt tha.

Ben nây bở liễu anh trông qua,

Say mơ vướng phải mùi hương ướp,

Yêu cái môi hương chẳng nói ra...

Độ ấy xuan về em lớn lên,

Thấy anh em đã biết làm duyên.

Nhưng thời gian vẫn trôi đi mãi,

Yêu dấu lòng anh ôm hận riêng.

The spring breeze leaves and the autumn breeze returns,

I often send my sentiments to my hometown love, ¹

By your side, each moment upon the road,

Enjoying the cool breeze so my heart is at ease.

Little do you know that during each evening

The ivory moon spreads its reflection, the lake's surface is tranquil,

I wander around as if naive and foolish,

Scooping at the ardent scent in the folds of your robe.

By the weeping willow patch you appear so lithe.

On this side of the willows I look over,

Drunken with dreams, caught up in the perfumed fragrance,

Loving those familiar lips without speaking a word...

As that time passes you are growing up,

Seeing me you have now learned to flirt.

Yet the time continues to pass by forever,

Love, my heart holds a personal bitterness.
